CELLS Group has announced the appointment of Jan Trenn (49) as the company’s new CEO (Chief Executive Officer), effective January 1, 2020. Trenn was also appointed Managing Director of CELLS Bauwelt GmbH and CELLS Property Investors GmbH on the same date.

As the new CEO of CELLS Group, Trenn has been appointed to shape the strategy and drive the continued growth of the real estate services provider. The company’s founder and former CEO, Dr. Christian Elleke, now holds the position of Chairman of CELLS Group’s Shareholder Committee.

“Given CELLS Group sustained growth over recent years, we knew that we needed to restructure our senior management team. The company’s shareholders therefore acted to strengthen the company’s leadership by appointing Jan Trenn as CEO. Jan Trenn is an experienced manager with proven leadership skills in establishing and expanding companies. As Chairman of the Shareholder Committee, I will continue serve CELLS Group in an advisory capacity, while at the same time taking advantage of the opportunity I now have to set up my own company and develop my own real estate portfolio”, explains Christian Elleke, Chairman of CELLS Group’s Shareholder Committee.

Jan Trenn has extensive leadership experience in the management and long-term strategic positioning of service sector and media companies. Prior to joining CELLS Group, Jan Trenn held the position of Managing Director and CFO of RTL Radio Deutschland GmbH. His previous management roles also include serving as CEO of VICOS Volkswagen International Corporate Services.
